Licensure and Accreditations

NEW YORK COLLEGE ATHENS AND THESSALONIKI

New York College is licensed by the Greek Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs, as a Center for Post-Lyceum Education in Athens and Thessaloniki as per the Government Gazette Decisions: 92775/IA / 27.7.2010 (GG 1302) and 92798/IA/27-7-2010 (GG 1320 B), respectively.  The licence was renewed in 2013 (GG 2061/23-08-13).

Furthermore, Greek graduates from NYC partner Universities 
are eligible to apply for the recogntion of their degrees according to the laws of 4093/2012 and 4264/2014. New York College has been awarded the following:

  • Accredited and recognized by the British Accreditation Council, (BAC), as an institution of higher education.
  • Approved Center of EDEXCEL, UK.
  • NYC offers programs of study of the following partner Universities:

    • National American University: Accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities
    • University of Bolton: public university of the United Kingdom

    • Universite Toulouse Capitole 1: public university in France.
    • International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef: Recognised and Accredited by the German Science Council. All programs are accredited by the FIBAA. 

UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK IN PRAGUE (UNYP)

  • Undergraduate majors (Business Administration, Communication and Mass Media, and International and European Economic Studies) are accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (http://www.msmt.cz). Students who complete these programs may elect to sit State Exams and be awarded an accredited Czech bachelor’s degree from the University of New York in Prague, in addition to the bachelor’s degree from SUNY Empire State College. These majors are therefore double-degree programs.
  • Accredited and recognized by the British Accreditation Council, (BAC), as an institution of higher education.
  • UNYP offers programs of study of the following partner Universities:

UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK IN TIRANA (UNYT)

The University of New York, Tirana, was established in the Spring 2002, and received the license from the Albanian Government by the decree N. 397, August 15th 2002. This license was extended to new disciplines with the decree N. 518, August 20th, 2003, issued by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Albania.
