NYC | Scholarships

The concept of scholarships has roots placed deep in human history and the idea of education.     
New York College, being an educational institution established and functioning at the College level within Greece, as well as in the Czech Republic and in the Republic of Albania, is proud to implement the idea and the values of scholarships. Below, one may examine the scholarships and the financial aid incorporated in the programs of New York College.
Note: Scholarships are not awarded cumulatively in case an applicant qualifies for more than one of the scholarship categories.
SCHOLARSHIPS IN RECOGNITION OF STUDIES IN THE PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES AEI or TEI
 
Subside 5% to 10% of the tuition fees (Depending on the school, AEI or TEI)

Purpose 

The purpose of these scholarships is to recognize and support students who are studying in parallel with Public Universities or transferring from public universities (both AEI and TEI) for admission to New York College.  

Details

These scholarships are offered for all years of studies as a full-time student at New York College, and apply to candidates who are transferring from public universities or studying in parallel with public universities, or have completed a degree of the same level at a recognised university.

Each candidate will be offered a discount on their tuition fees at New York College as follows: 

  1. AEI student: 10%
  2. TEI student: 5%
Terms and conditions for eligibility 

In order for an individual to be eligible for the scholarship, he/she must fulfill the following requirements: 

  1. To meet all the requirements necessary for admission to New York College.
  2. To be a graduate of a Greek high-school or other educational institution recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education.
  3. To be a registered student at an AEI or TEI.

Documents necessary to be submitted:

  1. A notarised and translated in English Certificate of graduation from a Greek high-school or other educational institution recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education.
  2. Certificate of registration from an AEI or TEI.
  3. All the other papers and documents required of applicant’s seeking admission to New York College.

SCHOLARSHIP SECOND CHANCE FOR A NEW LIFE

State University of New York or University of Greenwich or Universite Toulouse Capitole 1

A Three- year tuition scholarship for a 4 year program with State University of New York or Full tuition scholarship with our European affiliated Universities: Greenwich & Universite Toulouse Capitole 1

 

Purpose

This scholarship is available to individuals who have been rehabilitated from the Center for Rehabilitation of Depended Persons, (ΚΕΘΕΑ) and who are in the stage of being reintroduced to society.

Eligibility Requirements 

The scholarship can be applied either to the first three years of studies in the programs of State University of New York offered at New York College, or in full to the European programs of the University of Greenwich or Universite Toulouse which are offered at New York College. The scholarship is offered on an annual basis to ΚΕΘΕΑ, which selects the candidate for the scholarship, and becomes effective at the time the candidate is registered in the selected semester of studies.

Qualifying criteria for eligibility 

In order for an individual to be eligible for the scholarship, he/she must fulfill the following requirements: 

  1. To meet the entire requirement necessary for admission to New York College

  2. To be a graduate of a Greek high-school or other educational institution recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education.

  3. To be recommended by ΚΕΘΕΑ.

In order to remain eligible for the scholarship, the recipient must be a full-time student, and to exhibit a satisfactory academic performance. The procedure relative to the submission of an application requires that it be intending to become registered for the fall semester or/on before the 10th of February for those intending to become registered for the spring semester.  Documents necessary to be submitted:

  1. Certificate of graduation from a Greek high-school or other educational institution recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education

  2. A certificate from ΚΕΘΕΑ.

  3. All the other papers and documents required of applicant’s seeking admission to New York College.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP
State University of New York - Empire State College
Partial tuition subsidy

The Scholarship for Academic Excellence is offered on an annual basis to the students who have achieved exceptionally high levels of academic excellence and includes according to his/her grades and academic credits, a subsidy of the annual fees of 50%, for the first, 25% for the second, 15% for the third.

This scholarship is offered to the best three first students who, during this specific academic year achieved, starting as a base, a GPA of 3, 80 – with 4, 0 being the highest.  

More specifically, with respect to the students, the subsidy is as follows: GPA 3, 80 and above:

  • 50% of the tuition fees for the best student who has achieved the highest GPA, starting as a base 3, 80 for the academic year in question.

  • 25% of the tuition fees for the second student who has achieved the second highest GPA, starting as a base 3, 80 for the academic year in question.

  • 15% of the tuition fees for the third student who has achieved the third highest GPA, starting as a base 3, 80 for the academic year in question.

Note: Students to be eligible should have completed a minimum of 24 credits at New York College.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP

University of Greenwich | School of Health 

Partial tuition subsidy

The Scholarship for Academic Excellence is offered on an annual basis to the student who has achieved exceptionally high levels of academic excellence and includes according to his/her grades, a subsidy of the annual fees of 25%.

This scholarship is offered to the student who, during this specific academic year achieved the highest overall grade in class, starting as a base, 70% – with 100% being the highest.

More specifically, with respect to the student, the subsidy is as follows: 70% and above:

  • 25% of the tuition fees for the student who has achieved the highest grade, starting as a base 70% for the academic year in question. 

Note: The Scholarship for Academic Excellence applies to Year 2 and Year 3 of studies.

 

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP

University of Greenwich | Business School

Partial tuition subsidy

This scholarship is offered to the student who, during this specific academic year achieved the highest overall grade in class, starting as a base, 70% – with 100% being the highest.

This scholarship is offered to the student who, during this specific academic year achieved the highest overall grade in class, starting as a base, 70% – with 100% being the highest.

  • 25% of the tuition fees for the student who has achieved the highest grade, starting as a base 70% for the academic year in question.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP

Universite Toulouse Capitole 1

Partial tuition subsidy

 

The Scholarship for Academic Excellence is offered on an annual basis to the student who has achieved exceptionally high levels of academic excellence and includes according to his/her grades, a subsidy of the annual fees of 50%.

This scholarship is offered to the student who, during this specific academic year achieved the highest overall grade in class, starting as a base, 95% – with 100% being the highest.

More specifically, with respect to the student, the subsidy is as follows: Grade 95% and above:

  • 50% of the tuition fees for the student who has achieved the highest grade, starting as a base 95% for the academic year in question.

Note: The Scholarship for Academic Excellence applies to Year 2 and Year 3 of studies.

ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS

New York College – Athens

Annual scholarships with a subsidy of 50% of the tuition fees for all graduate and post-graduate programs, for athletes who are members of Greek National Teams

 Purpose

These scholarships are offered for athletic accomplishments to students who achieve exceptionally high athletic distinctions and are members of the Greek National Team in their full endeavor.

Details

Each scholarship for athletic excellence, in the amount of 50% of the tuition fees, is offered on an annual basis and at the beginning of the academic year to any athlete and for the entire duration of his/her studies, on condition that he/she remain an active member of the National Team and maintain high athletic accomplishments.

Terms and conditions for eligibility

In order for an individual to be eligible for the scholarship, he/she must fulfill the following requirements.

  1. To meet all the requirement necessary for admission to New York College.

  2. To be a graduate of a Greek high-school or other educational institution recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education.

  3. To be a member of the Greek National Team of his/her sport. 

In order to remain eligible for the scholarship, the recipient must be a full-time student, to exhibit an academic presence and achieve exceptionally high athletic distinctions. The procedure relative to the submission of an application requires that it be intending to become registered for the fall semester or/on before the 10th of February for those intending to become registered for the spring semester. 

Documents necessary to be submitted:

  1. Certificate of graduation from a Greek high-school or other educational institution recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education.

  2. A certificate from the National Athletic Federation of his/her sport.

  3. All the other papers and documents required of applicant’s seeking admission to New York College.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STUDENTS IN SPECIAL CATEGORIES
Subsidy of 10% of the tuition fees

Purpose 

These scholarships are meant to support students belonging in special categories, and, for this purpose, subside 10% of the tuition fees on an annual basis, for all programs offered by New York College. 

Details

These scholarships indicative of our concern for students with special needs are offered to individuals who are properly registered and enrolled as full-time students in any of the academic programs offered by New York College. Each scholarship covers 10% of the annual tuition fees, and is available to individuals belonging to the final categories.

  • To one of two siblings who are studying, on a full-time basis at New York College simultaneously.

  • To orphan students.

  • To students who are members of families with 4 or more children.

  • To Students who one parent has disability over 67%.

Terms and conditions for eligibility 

In order for an individual to be eligible for the scholarship, he/she must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. To meet the entire requirement necessary for admission to New York College.

  2. To be a graduate of a Greek high-school or other educational institution recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education.

  3. To belong to one of the categories described above.

In order to remain eligible for the scholarship, the recipient must be a full-time student, to exhibit an academic presence and achieve satisfactory academic achievements. The procedure relative to the submission of an application requires that it be intending to become registered for the fall semester or/on before the 10th of February for those intending to become registered for the spring semester. 

Documents necessary to be submitted:

  1. Certificate of graduation from a Greek high-school or other educational institution recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education.

  2. A certificate that proves that he/she belongs to one of the above mentioned categories.

  3. All the other papers and documents required of applicant’s seeking admission to New York College

SCHOLARSHIPS OF EDUCATORS

Subsidy of 10% of the tuition fees

Purpose

These scholarships of educators subside 10% of the tuition fees, on an annual basis, for all programs offered by New York College.

Details

These scholarships in the amount of 10% of the tuition fees are offered to New York College students who are registered and enrolled on a full-time basis in any academic program offered by New York College who are teachers or whose at least one of their parents is a teacher.

These scholarships are offered for the students who qualify, for the entire duration of their studies at New York College.

Terms and conditions for eligibility

In order for an individual to be eligible for the scholarship, he/she must fulfill the following requirements: 

  1. To meet the entire requirement necessary for admission to New York College.

  2. To be a graduate of a Greek high-school or other educational institution recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education.

  3. To be a child of a teacher.

In order to remain eligible for the scholarship, the recipient must be a full-time student, to exhibit an academic presence and achieve satisfactory academic achievements. The procedure relative to the submission of an application requires that it be intending to become registered for the fall semester or/on before the 10th of February for those intending to become registered for the spring semester.

Documents necessary to be submitted:

  1. Certificate of graduation from a Greek high-school or other educational institution recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education.

  2. An official certificate indicating that the parent(s)’ main employment is in teaching.

  3. All the other papers and documents required of applicants seeking admission to New York College.

ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIPS

Subsidy of 20% of the tuition fees

Purpose

Alumni scholarships are offered for the purpose of recognising that alumni are members of the New York College family, and they desire to continue their graduate studies at New York College.

For those eligible, these scholarships subsidize 20% of their tuition fees relative to their matriculation in some of our academic collaborations and programs. 

Details 

The 20% subsidy is offered by New York College in collaboration with some of the affiliated educational institutions. 

Terms and conditions for eligibility

In order for an individual to be eligible for the scholarship, he/she must fulfill the following requirements: 

  1. To be an alumnus of any undergraduate program of New York College. 

Documents necessary to be submitted:

  1.  The degree of the undergraduate studies.

  2. All the other papers and documents required of applicant’s seeking admission to New York College.

SCHOLARSHIPS IN RECOGNITION OF HIGH-SCHOOL GRADUATION CERTIFICATE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

Subside 10% to 20% of the tuition fees (Depending on the certificate of high-school graduation grades)

Purpose 

The purpose of these scholarships is to recognize the high-school academic achievement of candidates for admission to New York College.  

Details

Each of these scholarships is offered for the first year of studies as a full-time student at New York College, and apply to candidates whose high-school graduation certificate grades are 17 and above. Depending on his/her specific grades, each candidate will be offered a discount on their tuition fees at New York College as follows: 

  1. High-school certificate grades: 19– 20, discount 20%.

  2. High-school certificate grades: 18 – 19, discount 15%.

  3. High-school certificate grades: 17 – 18, discount 10%.

Terms and conditions for eligibility 

In order for an individual to be eligible for the scholarship, he/she must fulfill the following requirements: 

  1. To meet all the requirement necessary for admission to New York College.

  2. To be a graduate of a Greek high-school or other educational institution recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education.

  3. To be in possession of a high-school certificate of graduation with a cumulative grade of 17 and above.

Documents necessary to be submitted:

  1. Certificate of graduation from a Greek high-school or other educational institution recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education.

  2. All the other papers and documents required of applicant’s seeking admission to New York College.

OTHER SUBSIDY FOR PROGRAMS

Purpose

These subsidies are offered to specific categories of prospective students, on an annual basis and who are introduced to New York College by members of the greater New York College family.

Details

  1. A 10% subsidy in a case of introduction by a member of the New York College family.
  2. A 7% subsidy in case of a written and signed introduction by one of our alumni.
  3. In case of an introduction by one of our students, then the 7% subsidy is shorted equally (3,5% each) to the student initiating the introduction and the prospective applicant.

Terms and conditions for eligibility

In order for an individual to be eligible for the scholarship, he/she must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. To fulfil all necessary requirements for admission to New York College, either in an undergraduate or a post graduate program.

  2. To be a graduate of a Greek high-school or other educational institution recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education.

  3. To have been introduced by a member of the greater New York College family.

In order to remain eligible for the scholarship, the recipient must be a full-time student, to exhibit an academic presence and achieve satisfactory academic achievements. The procedure relative to the submission of an application requires that it be intending to become registered for the fall semester or/on before the 10th of February for those intending to become registered for the spring semester.

Documents necessary to be submitted:

  1. Certificate of graduation from a Greek high-school or other educational institution recognized by the Greek Ministry of Education.

  2. All the other papers and documents required of applicant’s seeking admission to New York College..
