Investing in the United States of America & U.S. Taxes
The event was co-organized by SUNY Empire State College, NYC, the U.S. Commercial Service, and the American Legion. The event’s guest speakers were Mr. Bryan Larson, Commercial Counselor, Embassy of the United States of America, and Dr. Chris Holidis, U.S. Tax, Financial & Intl Business Advisor. Mr. Larson talked about the opportunities that exist for investing in the United States of America, and how his office can help in this process.
International students gathering New York College
Students from 38 different countries of the world had the opportunity to meet, exchange information on their country of origin, plan their next events and share their experience as New Yorkers. Teachers and staff were also present and had a wonderful time with them.
Lecture on "Communication Theories and practical applications"
Professor Georgios Piperopoulos delivered a lecture on "Communication Theories and practical applications" to students majoring in Business Administration of the State University of New York/Empire State College, at New York College, Athens. The speaker has recently retired from his Chair in Communication and Public Relations at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki and is currently visiting professor at Newcastle University Business School (UK).

The Consulate General in Athens of the Ivory Coast, and President of the Foundation "Greek Action in Africa" Ms. Mero Kececioglou presented her multiannual work in Africa and around the world to the students of New York College in one of their classes in the program of the State University of New York, Empire State College.
New York College on an Educational Visit to TERKENLIS SA Production Premises
Students had the chance to see in practice all modern methods of patisseries production equipment, procedures and quality control techniques. Mr. Constantinos Manolakidis, Production & Quality Manager conducted the tour and explained analytically all operations and strategies of the company.

On January 22nd, President & CEO, Mercedes-Benz Hellas, S.A. Mr. John Kalligeros was invited to an open discussion with the freshmen of the BA Hons in Business Studies students of New York College were students had the opportunity to learn about the successful strategic model of Mercendes-Benz Hellas. The principles that Mr. Kalligeros presented on Friday were important "guidelines" and examples for success.
Ambassador of Japan visits New York College
On December 1, 2015, Ambassador Masuo Nishibayashi of Japan in Greece, was the guest speaker at a lecture before the International Relations students of New York College. The lecture discussed Japan’s domestic politics and foreign affairs as well as current Japan-Greek Relations. During the questions and answers session that followed, students under the supervision Mr. Leonidas Gontzes, Associate Dean and Head of the International Relations Department of New York College, had the opportunity to ask the Ambassador international relations-themed questions.

The well-known for his influential research Dr. Alessandro Benati, Professor of Applied Linguistics and Director of Applied Research and Outreach in Language Education (CAROLE), University of Greenwich will deliver a lecture on “The role of Grammar Instruction in Second Language Learning and Teaching”
Mexican music night at New York College
On November 3, 2015, Minister Fernando Sandoval Flores, Deputy Head of Mission, of the Embassy of Mexico in Greece, was the guest speaker at a lecture before the International Relations students of New York College. The lecture discussed trade relations between Mexico and Greece as well as Mexico’s participation in the newly formed (2012) Pacific Alliance trade bloc consisting of four Latin American states.
Halloween at New York College
The NYC Office of Student Affairs held a Halloween event at the Amalias Back yard on the 29th and 30th of October. New Yorkers gathered for traditional pumpkin- carving and the team treated everyone to an excessive amount of sugar as is customary. The NYC Psychology Club had a welcome event for new members with American Style Cupcakes! Happy Halloween!!
Lecture on ‘Adult Attachment and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy’ at New York College
On the evening of Wednesday 21st October 2015 Mr Dimitris Katakis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist at Klimaka Suicide Prevention Centre, led an educational lecture at New York College which was attended by over 40 NYC students, staff and members of the general public. The talk was entitled ‘Adult Attachment and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy’.
Panama’s Instituto Atenea pupils at New York College
New York College welcomed 40 high school pupils from Instituto Atenea at Panama during their visit to Athens accompanied by the Director of the School Mrs. Luzmila de Palma and Ms. Niki Economou, Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of Panama in Greece.
