New York College: Career Days 2016
On the 5th and 6th of April 2016, New York College organized the 22nd Career Fair with great success and participation in Kallithea building, Thessalonikis 286 str. 40 well-known multinational companies with expertise in various areas such as web development/ internet, human resources, public relations, banking and insurance, computing, marketing, management and tourism, participated in the event. Recruiters and HR Managers had the opportunity to interview more than 200 students and graduates from both undergraduate and graduate programs offered by New York College in cooperation with recognized worldwide universities.
The Ambassador of Vietnam visits New York College
On April 1, 2016, Ambassador Tran Ha Phuong of Vietnam in Greece, was the guest speaker at a lecture before the International Relations students of New York College, presenting her country, Vietnam. During the questions and answers session that followed, students under the supervision Mr. Leonidas Gontzes, Associate Dean and Head of the International Relations Department of New York College, had the opportunity to ask the Ambassador international relations-themed questions.
Workshop on: International security - current developments, EU Army & NATO
The Hellenic Marine Corp Reserves Association in association with New York College on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 18:00 organised a workshop on INTERNATIONAL SECURITY - CURRENT DEVELOPMENTS. EU ARMY & NATO featuring General Christos Manolas, ret. Honorary Chief of the Hellenic Army General Staff and Dr. Athanasios Drougos Strategic Analyst in International Relations. The event opened Mr. Elias Foutsis, President of the New York College Educational Group.

New York College is the Official Sponsor of the Greek Parliament Simulation
New York College, in the context of its Corporate Social Responsibility, has been the Official Sponsor for the Greek Parliament Simulation, the first simulation of the Greek Parliament which aims at inviting young people from educational institutions in Greece and abroad to assume parliamentary roles and experience the decision making processes, debate issues and raise questions, vote on new laws and policies and sit on committees. Lecture on ''The issue of piracy in Africa (Somalia)'' at New York College
In providing students and friends of New York College further training and information on the issue of Maritime Piracy, the School of Maritime Studies proudly invited an expert in the field, Mr John Chortis, on March the 7th 2016 at our Kallithea building to discuss: ''The issue of piracy in Africa (Somalia)''. Mr Chortis is a Captain (retired) of the Hellenic Coast Guard, with invaluable experience in the feld.
Investing in the United States of America & U.S. Taxes
The event was co-organized by SUNY Empire State College, NYC, the U.S. Commercial Service, and the American Legion. The event’s guest speakers were Mr. Bryan Larson, Commercial Counselor, Embassy of the United States of America, and Dr. Chris Holidis, U.S. Tax, Financial & Intl Business Advisor. Mr. Larson talked about the opportunities that exist for investing in the United States of America, and how his office can help in this process.
International students gathering New York College
Students from 38 different countries of the world had the opportunity to meet, exchange information on their country of origin, plan their next events and share their experience as New Yorkers. Teachers and staff were also present and had a wonderful time with them.
Lecture on "Communication Theories and practical applications"
Professor Georgios Piperopoulos delivered a lecture on "Communication Theories and practical applications" to students majoring in Business Administration of the State University of New York/Empire State College, at New York College, Athens. The speaker has recently retired from his Chair in Communication and Public Relations at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki and is currently visiting professor at Newcastle University Business School (UK).
Consul General de La Cote, d' Ivoire, Mero Kecesioglou
The Consulate General in Athens of the Ivory Coast, and President of the Foundation "Greek Action in Africa" Ms. Mero Kececioglou presented her multiannual work in Africa and around the world to the students of New York College in one of their classes in the program of the State University of New York, Empire State College.
